TWO OPEN CHALLENGES FOR ALL JOURNALISTS AND EDITORS

First Challenge:

   Journalism 101 -

Attempt to answer the following question as an objective news report. Try to avoid generalizations and
laundry lists, keep it to the bottom line, and deal with the basic rules of journalism:

WHO - WHAT - WHERE - WHEN - WHY - HOW

Planet Earth: What's Really Going On?  From the point of view of an objective observer.

Impossible? Too large a topic? Such questions will entail philosophical and religious issues?
No One knows? Hence, the challenge. Deal with it as honestly as you can, and you may begin to form a BETTER way of approaching the news for the rest of your work. Think STRATEGICNEWS, and then attempt to answer the question: Planet Earth: What's Really Going On?

Second challenge:

This is only for those news organizations with the resources to potentially achieve this.

PLEASE PROVIDE AN ACTUAL COMPOSITE SATELLITE IMAGE OF THE EARTH AS IT ACTUALLY NOW IS, WITH RELATIVELY RECENT, UP-TO-DATE IMAGES. SEE HOW MUCH DIFFICULTY YOU HAVE IN TRYING...

The enormity of this challenge is not only the amount of "classified" imagery around the globe, but the lack of access...However, for those organizations who may have the money and contacts to access this data - military exclusions notwithstanding - I am sure you will be AMAZED at just how much of the earth has been scorched or destroyed recently - and it may be an eye-opener for the public who may indeed have a "right to know".
